The aim of the forum is for you to get inspiration from others in botanic gardens who are doing work that is similar to your work, and to keep in touch with a wide network of colleagues across Australia and NZ botanic gardens in the engagement space.

Here’s a bit more about the forum:

• This forum is an opportunity for botanic gardens professionals like yourselves who are involved in engagement work (such as interpretation, marketing, education, events, volunteer engagement and more) to get together to find out what others are up to across the network of Australian and New Zealand botanic gardens, and to share what you are working on.
• The forum will be hosted by BGEN (the Botanic Gardens Engagement Network of BGANZ) and is open to everyone in BGANZ who would like to attend.
• We will host this online forum every two months and it will last for a maximum of one hour.
• The format is informal and an opportunity to connect – there will be a short presentation in the beginning from a colleague doing work in the engagement space, followed by time for those on the call to share what projects we are working on, what problems we may be facing, or innovative ways we are approaching our work.
