Botanic Gardens Webinar Series Webinar 4: The Role of Friends Groups in Botanic Gardens

Next Thursday 23 May Costa will host our fourth and final webinar featuring three speakers, all Presidents of Friends groups: Tracey Whitby (Friends of Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens), John Bentley (Friends of the Melton Botanic Garden) and Viv Canham (Friends of Auckland Botanic Gardens).

Friends groups are made up of volunteers from the community who love plants, the environment, and working and socialising together. They work with and in botanic gardens to support, develop and maintain them in lots of different ways. In some cases, Friends groups are the people who established the garden in the first place.

This webinar will give you insights into how these three very different Friends groups work with and in their respective botanic gardens.

Join the discussion at 7pm AEST on Costa’s Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X or LinkedIn channels.

If you missed the webinar you can watch it on our YouTube channel, here.
